As a member of the Pickle Paper Patch Design Team, I was sent the July Pickle Pack to create some new projects to share with you all, to hopefully give you some inspiration on projects you could create with the July Pickle Paper Patch monthly pack.
This months kit has a gorgeous ‘Under The Sea’ theme and working with the beautiful papers, the gorgeous embellishments and accessories, I am already seeing so many other possibilities for the next project I want to work on.
The first project I decided to create is this 8x8inch greeting card which uses the patterned paper from the kit as the background, where I have distressed the paper edges, taken a second sheet of pattern paper and cut two layers which also have distressed edges and adhered my three paper layers onto my card base.
From another sheet of pattern paper which was included in the Pickle Pack, I fussy-cut all of the sea shells, starfish, seahorses, fish and crabs to use as embellishments on my card… I love how these look and the pale pink colour looks gorgeous against the background.
I coloured the chipboard laser cut mermaid using a selection of Mica ink sprays to give a mixed colour, pearly effect with the bronze Mica ink spray completing her hair.
Finally I used a sentiment from one of the sticker sheets which reads “Write your secrets in the sand and trust them with a mermaid” before adding the small wooden seahorse, piece of sea-glass and pearlised starfish.
