As a member of the Pickle Paper Patch Design Team, I was sent the July Pickle Pack to create some new projects to share with you all, to hopefully give you some inspiration on projects you could create with the July Pickle Paper Patch monthly pack.
The August Pickle Pack has an “Indigo Blush” theme which includes a selection of patterned papers, alphabet stickers, wood veneer embellishments, die cut shapes and much more. You can find the August Pickle Pack on the website >here<.
The first project I decided to create using this months Pickle Pack is a keepsake card to commemorate a very special photograph of my late Mum and myself. Each layer of the keepsake was embossed and cut from the patterned papers within the pack.
Each layer was then edged using copper coloured peel-off stickers which incorporate well with the rose gold foiling on the papers. I then used cut down sheets of fun foam to provide height and depth between each layer which helps the keepsake card hold it’s shape. After the layers were glued in place I used the glitter flat back embellishments from the kit to add a little more detail to each corner.
On the left half of this design I added my chosen photograph which was mounted using fun foam, before adding a couple of the floral die cuts and one of the wood veneer embellishments. Next I mounted a handcut bookmark down the centre which I decorated using the mulberry paper flowers from the kit down the middle with a metal ‘Dream’ embellishment at the top which is helf in place with a pearl pink brad and metal leaf embellishments and the bottom.
On the left hand side of this project I used a sentiment die cut from the pack of Pink Fresh Studio die cut shapes and words which I coloured using Spectrum Noir markers to tie-in with the rest of the design. Below this sentiment I also added sentiment which reads ‘Follow your dreams they know the way’ from the same die cut pack.
I am very happy with the finished result of this project and hope that you will like it too.
Hope you’re all having a wonderful day and will check back soon for more of my crafty creations.
